Durban House is a 33 bed nursing home suitable for long and short stay patients. We also cater for those who need post-operative, convalescent or respite care.

We offer 24 hour nursing care by highly qualified staff in comfortable accommodation with double rooms and single rooms most of which have en-suite facilities.

All our bedrooms are equipped with call bells and most have television and phone points and are furnished to a high standard and we encourage residents to bring along any personal belongings to make your living space a home-from-home. The majority of our bedrooms have en-suite facilities including showers.

A passenger lift and stair liftservices the upper floors allowing residents easy access. Our recently extended dining room and lounge allows all our residents to eat together and is also an ideal room for our various entertainment programmes. Durban House has a large lounge on the ground floor to allow residents space for reading, radio or watching television, and a sun lounge for quiet reading.

Well-appointed and comfortable lounges with television and video facility as well as a music centre provide space for relaxation as well as leisure activities and entertainment.

The conservatory serges as a perfectly relaxing place to view the garden, socialise, or dine. Residents are invited to dine with the others or in their own rooms.

We have a specially adapted bathroom and an assisted shower room to provide for those who may need a little more help to enjoy the comfort of bathing whilst feeling secure.

Durban House has its own laundry service collecting and delivering clothes back to the individual client. Our Housekeeper ensures that all garments are cared for and hand washed or dry-cleaned if necessary. Family members are welcome to take home washing if they so wish but we do insist that all garments are clearly labelled with the relevant client's name.
